About Me

I live in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I am retired. I golf. I am a birder. I am an American of the USA persuasion. I am a Professor Emeritus of Geological Sciences from CSU Fullerton. I read more than I watch. I am a Clevelander though I haven’t lived there in over 50 years. I am a Guardians, Cavs, and Browns fan and always will be. I am happily married (3rd time is the charm!). I am a petless cat lover. I am a traveler, both armchair and real. I hate to write, until I actually sit down and start (always the hardest part). I have neuroendocrine cancer – incurable but not terminal. I drink but am not a drinker. IPA > Lager, Bourbon > Scotch but all have their place in moderation. I am an observer. I guess now I am a blogger… Test Why is this bigger?
About this photo: The boardwalk behind me was actually packed with birders, so I had ChatGPT remove them to protect their privacy. I resisted the temptation to have ChatGPT make me look younger.
